What inspired you to start the Odenrider Studio?

My inspiration was seeded back in the 1980s when I created my first musical composition on my Dad's commodore 64 computer.

My inspiration was seeded back in the 1980s when I created my first musical composition on my dad's commodore 64 computer. This not only opened my eyes to musical composition and production, but also set me on a path to a career in computer science and engineering. While my career blossomed, I always had a deep yearning to return back to where it all began. With the Odenrider Studio, I have the opportunity to combine my mastermind psychology and yellow colored creative personality.

Where did the name "Odenrider Studio" come from?

The name Odenrider is a nod to my familial connection to my grandmother. Her maiden name was Odenrider, but I never got a chance to know her. The uniqueness of the familial name which is rooted in Northern Germanic ancestry has inspired not only the name of my studio, but also inspired my first album to have a mystical northern European theme.

What kind of music or artists do you derive your style?

Many different styles of music have inspired me over the years....

Many different styles of music have inspired me over the years, but in retrospect most have been old school music and compositions that have distinct melodies that evoke emotional reactions. Everything from old school country (Willie Nelson, John Denver), to old school 1980's breakdance tracks, to melodic heavy metal and rock, to classical romantic era music. But my musical tastes have evolved over the years. I find in my later years that I have gained a deep appreciation for Jazz, Bluegrass, and epic cinematic works.

Casey recently produced the Odenrider Studio's first album called the Nine World Ballads. You can check it out on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Youtube, Shazam, and Deezer. Let him know what you think. Stay tuned.
